No-Bake Macaroni & Cheese

Whole-wheat macaroni 8 ounces
Frozen, chopped broccoli 10 ounces
Low-fat milk ¾ cups
Flour 3 tablespoons
Garlic powder ½ tablespoon
Salt ½ tablespoon
Ground white pepper ¼ tablespoon
Shredded cheddar cheese ¾ cup
Shredded parmesan cheese ¼ cup
Dijon mustard 1 teaspoon



  1. Boil a large pot of water before putting in the pasta for 4 minutes. Add the frozen chopped broccoli and continue to stir for 4 to 5 more minutes until the pasta and broccoli are tender enough.
  2. At the same time, heat 1 and a ½ cups of milk in a separate pot over medium-high heat until it starts to simmer. Whisk the ¼ cup of milk, pepper, salt, garlic powder and flour. Add the mixture to the pot of simmering milk and whisk it constantly for about 2 to 3 minutes. Thereafter, turn off the heat and whisk in mustard, cheddar and parmesan until the cheese melts.
  3. Lastly, add the pasta and broccoli into the cheese sauce and stir the final mixture over medium-low heat for about 1 minute.
